Really love the layout and detail of this book.Like others have said, the spiral binding makes this a lot easier to use.I tired a couple of other online knot references.... never could get the Figure 8 knot down. This one made it so easy that I got it on the first Try!That doesn't mean I'm not struggling with some of the others, but that's just because I'm a beginner at this I thinkLove it!!!!

This is a great book for learning knots and their purpose. Easy to follow illustrations in a spiral bound book. Over 60 of the best knots organized by use (sailing, camping, climbing, fishing, farming, and general purpose).I bought it to learn to tie knots for camping and have gotten so much more from this one book.

Really complete and easy to follow. Coil binding frees up the hands for ... tying along with the pictures! Good thinking. However, in some pix with dark rope, it's hard to tell overcrossing from undercrossing Yellow is the easiest color to parse in the pictures. Next edition, use lots more yellow rope.

Just like it says on the cover. This is perfect for anyone that's into climbing, camping, sailing, fishing and might I add... off-roading. Keep a copy nearby so it's handy (vehicle, boat or nightstand). The key to becoming proficient with knot tying? Practice, practice and practice some more. Can I hear an Amen?

My husband and I have gotten into climbing and this has been a LIFE SAVER!!! There are so many not that we use in this for climbing or repelling it has been great! Also my husband has just gotten into scouts and he said this is the book if you want to learn how to tie knots!

More knots than I will ever try, but lots of good information. Lays flat when opened, a big plus.
