This was a hard review to write, not just because I wanted to be sure to cover everything that I love about this book but also because just thinking about it brings me to tears. I mean that in the best way possible. My family has always had pets and as a result, have lost some. Dogs and cats that were members of the family and that are missed no matter how much time has passed. These stories bring that up and bring tears of sadness for that as well as of happiness for bringing back important memories. The experience can be cathartic to anyone who's lost someone.In addition, the stories are heartwarming and wonderfully well written. The pictures are incredible, and being able to learn about the unique process that occurred to bring these unique keepsakes to life is a special experience for any reader.Whether you've lost a pet, have a pet that is a member of the family, or just love animals or jewelry, this is the book for you.

I read this book right at the same time that I am dealing with health problems with both of my pets. Any pet owner knows that the life span of their pet is expected to be a short one, but I don't think anyone can be quite prepared when things start to go wrong. I expected that this book would be very difficult to get through considering the love I have for my four-legged family members. What I found was the opposite. The short stories were touching and the author does a great job of having you feel as though you are there with the pet and their owner. In each case the author is able to help the pet owner on their road to emotional recovery by using a sentimental object in a unique way. This is a wonderful book and I'm positive it will help many, many people.

This book was written by a very gifted intuitive jeweler. She has the ability to transform most anything into a keepsake to memorialize a pet. I highly recommend not only the book but the creations of the jeweler too.
